Pharmaceutical Education has obtained a place of immense importance in the field of healthcare. A diploma holder in pharmacy is entitled to secure license to establish his own drug store. Excellent opportunities are available in State & Central Government hospitals, Private Hospitals, Community Health Centres & other Healthcare providers to work as pharmacist. Pharmaceutical industries recruit diploma holders for various challenging posts. A diploma holder in pharmacy can pursue higher studies in B'Pharma, M'Pharma and/or Ph.D. There is a wide range of opportunities in foreign countries too.


Course Offered


Duration:   The Diploma in Pharmacy course is of two years duration, duly recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India. The academic year usually starts between September to October every year.

Eligibility:   Admission to Diploma in Pharmacy course is made as per the rules and regulations of the Government of Karnataka and the Pharmacy Council of India.

A Pass in Pre-University Course (PUC) of Two years in Science of Karnataka Pre-University Education Board.  


A pass in intermediate 10+2 with science.

Any other equivalent Examination accepted by the Pharmacy  Council of India.

The Board of Examination Authority is Drugs Control Department, Govt. of Karnataka, Bangalore, conducts the examination at the end of the academic year.

Examinations are conducted usually in the month of October – November.



The College of Pharmacy has well-equipped modern laboratories which meets the requirements of the students as per PCI norms. Machinery Rooms, Anatomy & Physiology Lab, Balance Room, Pharmaceutics Lab, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab, Hospital & Clinical Pharmacy Lab, Physics & Chemistry Lab, Drug Museum, Animal House are all well set to provide practical skills & thereby supporting theoretical knowledge.
